customize the look of your room in minutes, sparing time and expense that would be incurred by hand painting or
stenciling. They can be applied to walls, artist canvas, glass, decorative plates, in picture frames, on cars, signs, or on
almost any smooth surface inside or outside.
Can my silhouette be life-size?
Yes. Because purchases are custom orders, we cut the vinyl to match your exact height dimension. The width will be automatically adjusted to be proportionate to the height.
Do I have to decide on a size and color before checkout?
No. After checkout you will email us the photo(s) at your leisure. When sending your photos, indicate how tall you want the image and what color. If color is not specified, orders will be matte black.
What type of photo do I need to send in?
Most digital camera photos work great. For specific details on how to take your photo, please visit: Photo Taking Tips
I'm not sure if this photo is the best, can I send more than one?
Yes. Let our experienced design team help you select the photo that will make the best silhouette.
Can I use a picture that is not digital?
Yes, scan it so we can have an electronic copy.
Can I mail a picture in?
No. We only accept pictures emailed to us.
After I have paid for my silhouette, when do I send in my picture(s)?
Take your time getting a great photo. Remember, the key to a great silhouette is a great photo.
What if my photo has somebody else in it that I do not want to include in my silhouette?
No problem. When you email us your photo, make note of any special instructions.
I don't understand the "Add a Person" function.
You need to use the "Add a person" if you have multiple persons (or pets) in the same silhouette. Select this function for each person (or pet) in addition to one. For example, you're purchasing a Half-body silhouette with two people in it. One person costs $46. Another person is an additional $8. Total cost: $54. Keep in mind, everything must fit within the original silhouette size limit.
Can you add something or someone to my silhouette?
Generally no. When we alter images it usually does not look natural. Please email with specific inquiries.
Will you make a silhouette from any photo?
No. We reserve the right to reject copyrighted, sensual, pornographic, or controversial silhouette orders at our discretion.
How will my product arrive?
Your product will arrive ready to apply. The vinyl silhouette will be sandwiched between the backing paper and the transfer tape. All you have to do is peel off the backing, stick the silhouette on a clean surface and peel off the transfer tape. See the Application Instructions page for a video and detailed instructions.
How do I apply my image?
Applying your images is quite easy. It takes about 15 minutes from start to finish for most sizes. All you have to do is peel off the backing, stick the silhouette on a clean surface and peel off the transfer tape. Every order comes with a small sample graphic to practice applying before your image. This allows you to test your surface and your skills. What if I ruin my silhouette?
Most re-cuts are only $15 plus shipping. The most costly part of your purchase is the creation of the silhouette, so if you need something re-cut, just email us.
Can I use my silhouette on my car or boat?
Yes, but only if you request outdoor permanent vinyl. By default all of our silhouettes are made of indoor removable vinyl. Indoor vinyl is much easier to work with and lasts just as long in an indoor setting. Indoor vinyl has removable adhesive and can be peeled off if you so desire. Outdoor vinyl has permanent adhesive and is very difficult to remove. The outdoor vinyl adhesive is, however, waterproof and the indoor vinyl is not. If you want your silhouette to be made of outdoor permanent vinyl, please specify that when you email to us your photo(s).
Can I overlap images?
Absolutely. The vinyl is so thin, you can easily overlap images for special decorating effects.
How long will it take to get my order?
Allow 2-3 weeks for delivery. If you need a rush order, arrangements can be made.
Can I get a duplicate silhouette at a later date?
Yes. We keep your image on file for one year from the date it was cut.
What type of surfaces will my silhouette adhere to?
Your silhouette will work on most smooth or lightly textured surfaces. Although heavily textured walls do work, the rough texture shows through the vinyl and the image has less surface area to adhere to. Rough or uneven surfaces are not suitable (i.e. stucco, cinder block, brick, etc.). Some of the most popular uses have been walls, artist canvas (which must be painted first), glass and mirrors, smooth metal, sign boards,painted wood, decorative plates, picture frames (directly on the glass or on the backing), and on cars. Use your test graphic to see if your surface will work for your silhouette.
If I remove a wall silhouette will it damage my wall?
The silhouette has removable adhesive and can be peeled off without trouble. We have never known a single case when our product has caused wall damage. However, we cannot guarantee there will be no problems or be responsible for damage.
How do I remove my silhouette?
Removing your silhouette is really simple. With tweezers or your fingernail, grab the corner of the image and gently pull it off at an angle. If needed, the image can be warmed up with a hair dryer to loosen the adhesive.
Is the vinyl reusable?
No. We do not recommend using the silhouette again after it has been removed.
What is your return policy?
We create custom art to the specifications of our customers. For this reason we do not allow returns.
